Chief Executive Officer
Nick comes from an entrepreneurial and diverse background of private equity, capital markets and business development in the United States. He has been trading U.S equities since the age of 17 and remains a consistent private investor in equities, forex and precious metals, specialized in the CFD instrument.
Prior to co-founding Winreit S.L. in 2016, Nick recruited and lead a team to develop and prototype Spain's first automated wealth management advisor mobile application. Based on the successful Black-Litterman models of Silicon Valley, Nick was tasked with introducing new complex automated structures such as fractional-share handling, integrated bank accounts in-app, and automated deposits from transactions to outdated Spanish financial regulators who were completely new to the ideas.
Before the fintech experience, Nick lived in California, USA where he worked as a new business development and sales consultant for start-ups. At the same time he was a luxury property and goods broker, using his global high net-worth network to connect sellers and buyers for exotic cars, watches and properties around the world. During this period he also ran and wrote his own website to teach novice traders how enter the stock market, as well as the basics of fundamental and technical analysis.
Nick holds a degree in Business Administration from Santa Monica College. He also holds a certification in Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School.
Jose Maria Fuentes Rodriguez
Jose Maria Fuentes Rodriguez is Advisor to the Joint Ministerial Committee of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, and member of the EAG on Special Drawing Rights. He also serves as Senior Advisor to Citigroup and McKinsey & Co. Mr. Fuentes holds Board positions in the International Financial Institutions-Liaison Group, GFDRR, GEF, CEIEFI, etc. He also collaborates with UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Principle for Responsible Investments.
Previously he joined the International Monetary Fund as Under Secretary of Sovereign Wealth Funds. Before that, he was the Chief International Officer at Grand Duche Investment Fund; Head of Multilateral Department at the Embassy of Spain in USA; Secretary of the Management Review Committee and Chief Economist for New Official Policies of the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank.
During his long international career he also worked with Goldman Sachs, D.E.Shaw, Appaloosa Management, Indra, BWIN, ADIA, Blackrock, etc.
Mr. Fuentes holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Salamanca and a Master’s Degree in Internationalization of Service Firms from Harvard University. He also completed the three Postgraduate Courses of the Jean Monnet Chair of European Studies and the ICEX master in International Trade.
Vice President Business Development
Shushu is a native Chinese professional who has been engaged in Sino-Hispanic business for over 10 years.
Before joining Winreit S.L., she worked on investment analysis and investor development in a listed Spanish real estate company in Madrid, where she contributed to several asset acquisitions conducting comprehensive analysis and accessed to potential investors for the group’s capital increase.
Prior to that, she worked for two years in the Spanish branch of a British real estate consultancy, where she not only performed investment analysis and distressed portfolios valuation for, among others, Metrovacesa, Neinor, Quabit, Wanda, but also successfully conducted buy-side Due Diligence for commercial assets and developed a network of Chinese contacts.
By 2011, she had been on projects regarding Spanish firms’ entry strategies and business management in China for several consulting firms based in Shanghai, including the branch office of Basque government.
Shushu is trilingual Chinese-English-Spanish with a degree in Spanish Philology from SISU and an MBA from University of Carlos III of Madrid.
Daniella has diverse experience in the communications and marketing field. She has worked on developing marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, corporate communications - being the first point of contact for all internal and external media-related enquiries - and leading creative teams across diverse international industries, along with broad knowledge in translation services, editing and proofreading.
Before joining Winreit, she worked at several companies building her skills in strategic business development and marketing, where she was also responsible of all sales strategies, corporate sponsorships, events and e-commerce. In addition, she used to perform market research to analyze competitors, determine brand perceptions, evaluate market share and understand customer needs and build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with vendors, suppliers and customers.
She specializes in brand management, media relations, corporate positioning, product launches and public relations.
Daniella is trilingual in Spanish, French and English and holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and a Master of Marketing and Sales Management from EAE Business School Barcelona.
